Life would never be the same again and within a few months I discovered writing about my experiences as a single Dad was cathartic. So I began documenting my adventures via the medium of Facebook. On the odd occasion someone would find this amusing and perhaps somewhat foolishly say things like ‘You should write a blog’ or ‘that’s not unfunny’. Encouraged by such instances I figured I’d give it a go. And if nothing else it’s something that will embarrass my kids when they get old enough to understand. 

Just recently I was also kindly given the opportunity to write a monthly column in our fantastic local lifestyle magazine ‘The Fens’ where I write about some of the more humourless episodes in our journey. 

And so here we are – a particular thanks to my good friend Mark for assisting me in setting this up. His website is about Microsoft Excel though so I don’t think he sees mine as a threat (shout out to ‘Excel Off The Grid for all your spreadsheet based queries by the way).
